Fixtures for all junior matches are available via the Essendon District Netball Association website. We encourage all members and parents to download Stack TeamApp and register with Essendon Netball Club as this is the main source of communication for game day changes, training schedules and club news.
Competition
Competition for Opens is played at Parkville Netball Association, Brens Drive, Parkville on Monday nights (A Grade) and Thursday nights (B Grade). Competition for Autumn season commences late January and competition for Spring season commences in August.

FOR KIDS PARTICIPATING IN ‘TRAINING’ ONLY (we refer to this as Net)- registrations closed How do we register? All registrations are done via the Netball Connect app.
When does training start? SATURDAY COMPETITION (‘SET’/‘GO’)- your first training session is Wednesday 4th September at 4:15pm to 5:15pm at Aberfeldie Primary School (enter from Ramsay Street). There will be 1 ‘pre-season’ session before your first game and then there are 10 rounds in the season.
‘TRAINING’ ONLY (Net)- your first training session is Wednesday 4th September 2024 at 4:15pm to 5:15pm at Aberfeldie Primary School (enter from Ramsay Street). The program goes for 10 weeks.
When do games start? FOR KIDS PLAYING SATURDAY COMPETITION (‘SET’/‘GO’)- your first game is Saturday 7th September 2024 at 12noon at Riverside Netball Courts, enter from Newsom Street, Ascot Vale. We play in the Essendon District Netball Association Comp.
We encourage all players are eligible to try out for our association representative team Essendon Thunder. Please see their Facebook page for further information and tryout dates.
Training
Wednesday NetSetGO: 4:15pm – 5:15pm U11's: 5:15pm - 6:15pm U13’s, U15's and 18’s: 6.15pm - 7.15pm Training is held at Aberfeldie Primary School, Ramsay Street, Aberfeldie
If unable to attend, please let your coach know via Whatsapp prior to the training session. ENC Training Top is to be worn to training and players should bring filled water bottles. Please check Stack TeamApp to confirm if training is taking place if it is raining or over 34 degrees. As part of our Child Safety Standards, all players are required to attend bathroom facilities at training or on match days with a parent or in pairs.
Wet Weather
Saturday Games Matches may be cancelled on the day if it is raining. Notification will take place via your teams Whatsapp page and Netball Connect should the match be cancelled.
Game Day Policy
You must contact your coach or team manager if you are unavailable to play
Hair is to be tied back and jewellery to be left at home
Nails are to be cut short or taped
Check your fixture for times, holidays, and byes each week
Bring a drink to the game
Players are to arrive 30 minutes prior to the match to warm up
Players arriving late for games will not take the court for the 1st quarter
Parents are not to call out instructions to the players, encouragement only please.
