2027 is an exciting time for the club as we continue to build our teams entering into both the Parkville and EDNA competitions.
We will be hosting 13&U and 15&U Club Grading Days at Parkville to help us prepare the teams to submit to the competition bodies which is due in December.
At ENC, we strive to make netball enjoyable for all our players, but it’s equally important to build cohesive, well-balanced teams that work effectively together. ‘The Netball Coach’, a reputable external coaching company will be conducting the grading sessions for ENC for a seamless and enjoyable experience for all players.
📣13&Under (2014-2015 born): SUNDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2026 📍State Netball & Hockey Centre Brens Drive, Parkville Stadium D: Courts 9,10,11
1pm-1:30pm check in 1:30pm-1:45pm warm up and briefing 1:45-3:45pm trials 3:45pm-4:00pm cool down/parents to collect kids
📣15&Under (2012-2013 born): SUNDAY 25TH OCTOBER 📍State Netball & Hockey Centre Brens Drive, Parkville Courts 3 & 4
2pm-2:20pm check in 2:20pm-2:30pm parent & player briefing (one parent per family to attend) 2:30pm-2:40pm warm up 2:40pm-4:30pm trials 4:30pm- cool down/parents to collect kids
📣17&Under (2010-2011 born): Not required to attend Grading Days. There will be a player meeting at training on 14th October to discuss 2027 grading for this age group.
📣10&Under/NetSetGO (2018-2021 born): Not required to attend Grading Days.
📣11&Under (2016-2017 born): Not required to attend Grading Days.
Given this may be new experience for many families, we have answered a list of frequently asked questions.
What do the players wear? White-tshirt (logos are OK) and black/navy shorts. Shorts are important as the coaches will write a number on the players legs to identify them.
What happens if we can’t attend? In this case, we will seek feedback from your coach or invite you to attend the alternate age group grading day. *PLEASE NOTIFY [email protected] if you cannot attend ASAP.
Is everyone that attends the grading day offered a place? All current Essendon players are guaranteed a placed in 2027. There are limited spaces available for new players wishing to join the club in these age groups. Prospective players will receive an email with an offer, or the option to be waitlisted in the fortnight following the trials.
What do we need to bring? Water bottle Snacks Any required medications (Epi-pen, Asthma inhalers)
What teams are on offer in 2027 with Essendon? Essendon District Netball Association (EDNA) Riverside on Saturdays from 12noon onwards: SET, GO, 11&U, 13&U, 15&U Riverside on Thursday evenings: 11&U, 13&U
Parkville Netball Association Monday Nights: OPENS at Parkville Tuesday Nights: 17&U at Riverside Thursday Nights: OPENS at Parkville and 15&Under at Riverside Saturday mornings/early afternoon: SET, GO, 11&U, 13&U at Parkville

Will training stay the same in 2027? Yes- Essendon Netball Club will continue to train at Aberfeldie Primary School on Wednesdays.
